TheDream.US National Scholarship

Undocumented students, with or without DACA or TPS, who are shut out of federal aid and need a real path to a degree. You must be able to attend one of TheDream.US partner colleges.

• First-generation immigrant student who is currently undocumented, with or without DACA or TPS
• Came to the United States before November 1, 2020 and entered before age 16
• Have lived continuously in the U.S. since arriving
• Graduated or will graduate from a U.S. high school, or have a GED
• Minimum 2.5 high school GPA, and 2.5 college GPA if you have college credit
• Significant unmet financial need; students eligible for or receiving a Federal Pell Grant do not qualify
• Intend to enroll full-time in an associate or bachelor's degree program
• Must be eligible for in-state tuition at your chosen Partner College; some private colleges, online programs, and Texas institutions are excluded

• Up to $33,000 toward tuition and fees for a bachelor's degree
• A stipend of up to $6,000 for books, supplies, and transportation
• Renewable each year through degree completion
• Access to a national network of Dreamer scholars

• Online application through TheDream.US portal
• Confirmation that your chosen college is on the partner list and that you qualify for in-state tuition there
• Proof of high school graduation or GED and GPA documentation
• Financial information showing unmet need
• Follow the official Application Guide step by step, then accept the award by the stated deadline

• Check the partner college list before anything else. The scholarship only works at those schools, and a strong application to a non-partner school is wasted effort.
• Confirm in writing that you qualify for in-state tuition in your state. This trips up more applicants than the essays do.
• Download the Application Guide the day the round opens. It walks through eligibility, submission, status checks, and award acceptance in order.
• Apply early in the November to February window so you have time to fix missing documents.
• About 80 partner colleges participate, and the list changes. Verify each year rather than relying on last year's list.

TheDream.US is the largest college access and success program for undocumented immigrant students in the country. The most recent published round opened November 1 and closed February 28, with notifications in late April.
